Platform Consolidation
Platform Consolidation

Technology consolidation should not be a tool counting exercise.
The goal is to reduce overlapping capability, fragmented data, inconsistent controls, unnecessary cost, and operational burden.
Sometimes two platforms are justified. Sometimes one platform is doing five jobs poorly.
Good consolidation decisions consider business fit, user adoption, integration, security, and the true cost of operating the environment.
