Operational Resilience

Resilience is not the same as having a backup.

A resilient organization knows which systems are critical, how long they can be unavailable, who makes decisions during disruption, and whether recovery has actually been tested.

Plans that exist only in a document tend to fail when pressure is highest.

The real measure of resilience is whether people can execute the plan on a difficult day.
