Five Questions for Growing Companies
Five Questions for Growing Companies

When I evaluate the technology environment of a growing company, I start with five questions:
1. Do technology priorities support the company’s actual business goals?
2. Do we know who has access to critical systems and data?
3. Can the company continue operating during an outage or security incident?
4. Are employees receiving a consistent and productive technology experience?
5. Can the current team, systems, and processes support the next stage of growth?
The answers usually reveal more than a long list of products or technical specifications.
Technology strategy starts with understanding the business, then designing the organization, architecture, security, and roadmap around where that business is going.
